Timothy James "Tim" Walz (born April 6, 1964) is an American politician who has served as the 41st governor of Minnesota since 2019. A member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL), he served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2007 to 2019, representing Minnesota's 1st congressional district.
A Rising Star in the Democratic Party
Walz is considered a rising star in the Democratic Party and has been endorsed by Vice President Kamala Harris. He currently serves as the chair of the Democratic Governors Association. In an interview on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Walz criticized former President Donald Trump and Ohio Senate candidate J.D. Vance, describing them as "just weird."
