Investor Expectations Low on Weaker Order Tallies, FAA Scrutiny

Second Quarter 2024

ARLINGTON, Va., July 9, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- The Boeing Company (NYSE: BA) will release its financial results for the second quarter of 2024 on July 31, 2024, before the market opens.

Analysts are expecting the aerospace giant to report a decline in earnings and revenue due to weaker order tallies and ongoing scrutiny from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) over its safety and quality practices.

In recent months, Boeing has submitted a comprehensive safety and quality plan to the FAA, which has been investigating the company's production and certification processes following two fatal crashes of its 737 MAX aircraft.

Despite the challenges, Boeing has recently announced several positive developments, including a jump in airplane deliveries, a major order for freighters, and an agreement to offer advanced weapons on F-16 fighter jets.

Investors will be closely watching Boeing's earnings call on July 31 for updates on the company's financial performance, safety efforts, and regulatory outlook.
